Allow me to have a dumb girl moment

Ok I really really need to just vent about this because...well Im having a girly moment.

My mascara was discontinued!!! I know its really trivial to be upset over something like that but when you have had the makeup frustrations I have had you'd understand. I fully expect on no one reading this post haha

But I have really long lashes Im not trying to sound vain but its a fact, I do. Everytime I put on mascara I have to q-tip it off my lash line and up above my lid because my lashes touch the area below my brow when my eyes are open. I went through ALL these differnt brands and brush types and finally found one that worked AMAZING with my lashes and that was Lash Stylist by Maybellien.

That comb brush works wonders it gets down to the roots of your lashes and swoops them out and makes them look awesome without me having to worry about it getting all over my eye and ruining my liner or eyeshadow. I have literally been using that brand since 2004 and now...its gone.

Now I have to do all this trial and error of trying to find a new mascara which just sucks...nothing ever works as good as that type. All these companies think that if they make a fatter brush its going to make your lashes look better. Not the case! its the brushes that are able to work from root to tip and get in there and not make them look clumpy or gross I mean nobody wants to look like Tammy Faye baker god love her but no thanks


anyway...I guess I'll start my quest I hope that I can find a new brand that works wonders like my old one did

I just found my furniture happy place!!

Soooo sometimes I do searches of random things I cant afford and dont really need, well I came across the most AMAZING furniture! Its by artist Vincent Leman who hand crafts these bookcases and cabinets that look like they are straight out of Alice in Wonderland, I only wish I could afford something like this for my own home someday they are too fun

Gloooomy Mondaaaay

Ok ok I know the song is Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday but its a Gloomy Monday, its raining and there is a storm coming in! I know it may seem dreary but I absolutely love rainy weather. Im curled up in my favorite poppy quilt that my mom made me enjoying the sound of rain outside catching up on some blog reading and various internet distractions like Facebook haha.

Speaking of blogs there is one that I would like to share with you today, its called Advanced Style. Its so inspiring! Its basically this blog that features older people with great sense of fashion. This man that write the blog stops men and women on the street and asks to take their picture, its very Sartorialist but for older people. Yet I have to admit Im more inspired by the Advanced Style photos than I am ones from the sartorialist. So check it out its sure to make you smile. Also I cant wait to be old, this woman has a good point

In other news I am currently corchetting myself a "hooded scarf" for winter its a very pretty maroon color. It will look like this...except not as long and not stripped but you get the ides


I at least want to make it long enough for pockets to put my hands in, how cute! I hope I dont run out of yard or else I might have to make it stripped because this rusty maroon color was hard to find.

Hello! Its been a while I know but things have been stressful and uneventful at the same time, if thats at all possible which I have found out IT IS! haha

Ok so I know I talk about celebrities sometimes but I really hate to, however its become something that has spread like cancer all over our news stations and magazines. So Im really going to ask WHO THE HELL CARES!? why is everyone so obsessed with everyone else? We have really started to become one big gossip culture talking about everyone else and being up in their business. They are people too and Im sure though some of them have become "fame-whores" they want a little privacy.

So let me say this...If you dont want the whole world to know about your affairs/naked pics/sex tapes stop having/making them. Its almost 99% guaranteed that it will get leaked and will be all over the news for months. I for one really dont want to hear about Tiger Woods and whatever the hell is going on with him or who has a sex tape now or how so-and-so got plastic surgery. There are WAY more important things to be talking about in the news. I doubt this will ever end anytime soon but do we really have to obsess on it for weeks and months in the media??

Everybody needs to worry about themselves and their own well-being not the rest of the worlds.
